Raymond Manci – Chairperson
My partner, Kevin Tabor and I moved to the Skye development in 2018. I have been a resident of Palm Springs since relocating here from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina in 2006. We renovated two Alexander homes in the Vista Las Palmas neighborhood before moving to the Historic Tennis Club Neighborhood. The last home we renovated was featured in Palm Springs Life and in the coffee table book, Palm Springs Modern Living by noted photographer James Schnepf.
I have a strong background in volunteerism and fundraising in charitable organizations. Currently, I serve on the Board of the Historic Tennis Club Neighborhood Organization (HTCNO) since 2019. As founder and Co-Chair of the HTCNO Modernism Week Tour for the past three years we have raised nearly $75k for the neighborhood. In my role as Treasurer for the past year, I have automated the accounting program with Quickbooks Online. I also participated in the upgrading of the website for the HTCNO.
I have ben very involved with DAP Health since moving here. I have been a volunteer cashier at Revivals since 2008 with more than 4000 hours of service. I served on the Partners for Life Advisory Board, DAP’s annual giving program for 2008-10. My partner and I have been members of PFL since 2008.
I served as a Board Member of Vista Las Palmas from 2008-17 and served as secretary from 2008-12. I was Co-Chair for the Vista Las Palmas Neighborhood for three year 2015-17 raising over $130k for the neighborhood.
I was very involved in the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ+ political action committee in the US, for a number of years. I served as Federal Club Co-Chair from 2008-12. Federal Club is the annual giving program for the organization. During my tenure I received the award for most Federal Club members recruited by an individual at our national convention. I served on the Board of Governors for HRC 2009-12 and in a leadership role as the Co-Chair for the National Board Development Committee from 2010-12. From 2010-12 as the Co-Chair for the HRC Garden Party, we raised over $150k for the local chapter of HRC.
I have enjoyed the last five years on the Board of the HTCNO and look forward to continue serving on the Board and the Historic Tennis Club Neighborhood Community!
